PLAIN Awards

We present our globally recognised plain language awards every two years at our international conference, honouring the people and organisations who advance clear communication around the world.

The Christine Mowat
Plain Language
Achievement Award

We present this award to recognize an outstanding contribution to advancing plain language at the local, regional, national, or international level in any language.

The award is in honor of Christine Mowat, a past president of PLAIN and winner of the former PLAIN International Award, which was subsequently renamed the Christine Mowat Plain Language Achievement Award.

The PLAIN Board does not have to present awards at every conference and may present more than one award to more than one recipient. Awards are presented at the PLAIN international conference award ceremony

Nominations are open to all PLAIN members. You may nominate yourself, your organisation, or someone else. Winners are notified a few months before the conference and recognised at the award ceremony.
