The PLAIN Awards are one of the best opportunities to recognise the people and organisations doing outstanding work in plain language. Last night, we announced this year’s winners. The Cheryl Stephens Innovation Award goes to the Irish National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA). The finalists were Each, an Australian not-for-profit plain language consultancy, and Radar de Lenguaje Claro, a Spanish-language plain language innovation newsletter. The Christine Mowat Achievement Award goes to Heloisa Fischer. Congratulations also to the other finalists Gael Spivak and Ingrid Olsson. They are impressive plain language champions, and it was nearly impossible to choose.
